Everything looks like summer
In your embrace
A ship will bring you
At my own sandy beach
(Melisses music group, “Everything looks like summer”)
With these lyrics in mind we say goodbye to this summer and the lovely wedding of Fotini and Ted that sealed our August calendar with the best possible way. The “speedometer” recorded many kilometers from the distant city of Denver, U.S.A – where the couple lives – up to the sunny seaside city of Kalamata, Greece but this trip turned out to be full of pictures and savors, rewarding the guests.
At the wonderful and welcoming city of Kalamata and the Holy Temple of Pamegiston Taxiarhon, Fotini accompanied by her brothers, met her beloved one while holding a beautiful bouquet with white roses. The formality and the traditional spirit of the ceremony passed on the torch to a more light ambience in the reception hall, where fireworks, songs by the group Melisses and the medieval custom of tossing the bride’s garter to the groom’s bachelor friends, spread fun and laughs to everyone.
Longing for a nice walk at the nearby physical beauties of the area, we visited the incomparable landscape of Voidokoilia at Pylos that embraced us with its exotic waters. With the overwhelming aroma of thyme and the sea breeze surrounding us, we followed Fotini and Ted to a walk along the coast, in the water and the waves.
Watching the wedding video, these last summer notes still echo in our ears while autumn gets closer, bringing new destination wedding adventures to our team.
Fotini and Ted, may you always give moments like these ones to your beloved ones.
